Porta Bote or inflatable boat?
Porta-Bote is much lighter than an inflatable boat.
An inflatable boat needs to be dried well before it is folded, to prevent mildew.
An inflatable boat is susceptible to ruptures.
Fact is, most people who own inflatable boats leave them inflated, because it is too much of a hustle to inflate and deflate them.
Porta-Bote is light, easy to unfold (6 minutes), easy to fold back, doesn't rupture and takes little room in your garage, or on your car's roof.
Porta Bote or drift boats?
Drift Boats are made of wood, so their structure can take rougher terrains. However, this advantage is also their disadvantage – wood can easily break or braise, so sailing Drift Boats on dingy and jagged rivers might cause them damage. Another two major disadvantages Drift Boats have are their size, which means carrying them from one place into the next requires the use of boat trailers, and their maintenance (frequent polish and varnish). Drift Boats are susceptible to mildew, and can be irreparably damaged by fire. But perhaps the biggest disadvantage Drift Boats have, is their pour stability – anyone who moves aboard, shakes the entire hull.
